We realize that a lot our brothers and sisters depend on spiritual guidance to help encourage them along the way. Every client is given the opportunity to partner with one of our professional faith-based mentors for spiritual counseling and education.Â
GTTR has resources through shelters, transitional housing programs, property owners, and housing authorities to assist clients and their families in finding a place to call home.
Every GTTR client is given an opportunity to health education as part of their reentry goals. Clients are provided resources to obtain affordable healthcare coverage, and connection with local clinics and pharmacies. GTTR also encourages good nutrition for healthy living. “Health is the Greatest Wealth”.
Education is essential for an ex-offender’s successful reentry. GTTR has resources to offer GED and vocational training. We also offer support groups for behavior modification, drug and alcohol addiction, life skills, and financial literacy.
GTTR provides job skills training that’s necessary to gain and maintain employment; including but not limited to resume writing, interviewing skills, workplace ethics, interpersonal skills, communication skills, conflict resolution, and time management. We also provide job referrals once training has been completed.
Oftentimes, the family is adversely affected by their loved ones incarceration. We provide intervention to identify family strengths and deficiencies to work with clients and their families to increase their ability to function as a solid unit. We provide support in the form of classes, trainings, family support services, and referrals are provided to increase family reunification.
